ZD-8915 Desoldering Station

Introduction[edit]

ZD-8915 Desoldering Station

The manual for the desoldering station is File:ZD-8915 manual.pdf

The desoldering station lives on the electronics benches.

To use the desoldering station, switch on and set the desired temperature using the Up and Down buttons. Position the nozzle over the joint to the desoldered, and use the trigger button to start the vacuum pump. You may need to tin the nozzle in the same way as a regular soldering iron.

After use clean the nozzle using the brushes supplied, and empty the solder collection tube. Cleaning tools and filters for the air suction are kept in the De+Solder plastic box on the shelves above the benches.

Take care when emptying the glass solder collection tube as there are various small spring-loaded components that are likely to come loose when it is removed.
