(→‎Governance: updated directors)
Line 2:
* Check everyone has photo-id on them. If someone doesn't they can still receive the induction but will have to return later with ID to join and get an access card
* Check everyone is over 18 and a legal adult, for under-18s or those with issues that mean they require a carer, a parent, guardian or carer can join instead, but will have accompany the individual at all times in the space
* Check that everyone knows how to, and would feel comfortable that they're able to, summon emergency services and/or give first aid in the event of an incident.
* If during induction the person doing the induction has any doubts about whether the inductee can operate safely in the space, alone or with others, then membership should be refused. Objections to this decision should be referred to the next directors meeting.
* Ask if anyone has been a member of another hackspace. If everyone says yes then the induction can be faster than usual as there should be no need to explain what a hackspace is
* Ask if anyone has previously been a member of rLab, if yes check the membership database for their record and ensure they're eligible to re-join.
** If there are notes indicating a problem then DO NOT DISCUSS this with them publicly, just explain there's an issue and offer to talk about it later
** If the note indicates not to reactivate without discussion then refer to next directors meeting for decision
