rLab's efforts to help out with the battle against COVID-19 have been divided into 3 main porjects

3D printing of face shields

Face Shields being 3D printed

rLab's 3D printers were loaned to the Green Park 3D printing centre established by Cisco Systems to produce face shields for the NHS - Alex-G lead this effort

Laser cutting of face shield parts

In concert with the Leighton Park School, rLab's laser cutter was used to cut polypropylene sheets to make parts for face shields for the NHS - Mark-M lead this effort

Making PCs for school children

4 Donated PCs from rLab

Some of rLab's spare computer parts were used to build PCs to be distributed via local schools to help children take part in remote lessons - Alex-G lead this effort
